At St. Matthew, we understand and embrace the importance of technology in today’s world, and we are fully committed to integrating technology in the classroom. Our computer lab gives each student the opportunity to utilize technology to enhance their learning. St. Matthew also utilizes the Wayne-Westland Shared Time program to bring in a computer teacher once per week for specialized instruction in grades 1-8.
Most recently, Smart Boards have been installed in several classrooms, with all classrooms expected to be equipped by the end of next school year.
Teachers and parents also communicate electronically using FastDirect – a real-time information system allowing parents, teachers, and students to remain fully aware of progress, grades, and assignments (and much more), all shared and maintained on a daily basis.
